Description

The device USB-Key16 offers the possibility of connecting up to 16 different keys which will send individually keyboard codes. The USB- Key16 register as a keyboard when connecting to the PC. When a channel is switched it will send a preprogrammed key code to the PC.

The USB-Key16 is 40x90x23mm in size. The USB-Key16 is for indoor use only and should be protected against humidity. The permissible operating temperature range is 10° - 60° Celsius. The device is equipped with a 1.9 m USB cable.

The equipment shares the interface with the USB-IO16.

The switches can be connected directly with the USB-Key16, e.g. the first switch with pin 1 and pin 14. A resistor is not necessary.

The usage of the USB-Key16 is strictly prohibited, if the failure of the device will harm people. The usage in medical applications of any kind request the written permission of the Cleware GmbH.

The USB-Key16 comes with software to assign the contacts to key functions.

The product USB-Key16 comes with a 4-year software update service via Internet free of charge. New versions are made available in the Cleware download area and may be downloaded free.

A connection set, consisting of two 25-pol D-Sub-sockets, per one with soldering connections and one with flat cable connection, a suitable cap as well as approx.. 1 m 25-pin colored flat cable, also available here.
